Presiding Judge, Dorinda Arthur Smith, gave him the fine which is the equivalent of 200 penalty units for the charge of “resisting arrest” and “disturbing public peace”.

He was also made to sign a bond to be of good behaviour.

The court took into consideration the fact that he pled guilty and a series of apologies rendered on his behalf by some players of the Ghana Black Stars.

Meanwhile, Defense lawyer, Kwabena Asuma welcomed the news by the court, adding that justice has been served.

“I think generally it is a good decision of the court because in both cases, justice has been served. He has been punished for what he did and again it has sent a signal to others who may be trying same,” he said.

The 25-year-old former Nalerigu Nursing Training College nursing student invaded the Cape Coast Stadium pitch in the dying embers of the game which the Black Stars won 2-0 on Thursday night.

His reason for interrupting the match was to take a selfie with Atletico Madrid star, Partey.
