Pochettino Leaves Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino has left Chelsea following his one season spell with the Blues.

He was signed on a two-year contract which would have ended in 2025; however, the club announced he had departed on mutual grounds on Tuesday night.

“Chelsea FC can confirm that the Club and Mauricio Pochettino have mutually agreed to part ways.”

He leaves after finishing the season sixth on 63 points, an improvement from the previous season where Chelsea finished 12th on 44 points.

He recorded 18 wins, 11 losses and nine draws.

According to Pochettino, the club is now well positioned to revert to their glorious days.

“Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club’s history. The Club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.”

He leaves alongside his backroom staff: Jesus Perez, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino.

Sporting Directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley thanked the gaffer for his sevice in their statement.

A replacement is yet to be announced.
