Police, Arise Ghana face off in court over night protest

The group plans to demonstrate till 10pm on Tuesday (June 28) and Wednesday (June 29). But the Ghana Police Service says the night protest could compromise public safety and security

A High Court will today, Monday, deliver its verdict on whether or not a two-day protest by pressure group, Arise Ghana could be staged on the streets of Accra, especially at night.

The Police went to court after organisers refused to ammend the timing and route of the two-day anti-government protest.
