Political Historian Urges NPP to Script NAPO’s Public Speeches
The NPP’s National Executive Council recently endorsed Bawumia’s selection of NAPO as his running mate, setting the stage for the 2024 general elections in December.
Professor Samuel Adu Gyamfi, a Political Historian from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has advised Ghana’s ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to carefully script the public speeches of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as NAPO, their chosen running mate for the upcoming 2024 elections.
Speaking on Eyewitness News, Prof. Adu Gyamfi emphasized NAPO’s strong personality and recommended caution against unscripted remarks that could overshadow his message.
“While Dr. Opoku Prempeh brings extensive experience to the Bawumia ticket, it is vital for his handlers to ensure scripted speeches in public engagements,” Prof. Adu Gyamfi noted. He stressed the importance of preparing NAPO with a moderated tone and style to convey the party’s message with respect and clarity effectively.
