Posters of a National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare, announcing his intention to seek re-election, has gone viral on various social media platforms even as the party is yet to open nominations for its national executive elections.
It is however unclear whether he sanctioned the manufacture of these posters.
Alhaji Said Sinare is Ghana’s immediate past Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ghana’s former Ambassador to Egypt, a former Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso Central Constituency and the Founder of the ‘Zongo for NDC’.
Alhaji Sinare’s Zongo for NDC fiercely prosecuted NDC’s agenda and wooed lots of votes for Former President Mahama in the 2016 elections.
He toured the length and breadth of the country with his ‘Zongo for NDC’ and spent lots of resources to ensuring that President Mahama obtained the needed votes from the Muslim communities.
Even before he officially confirms the authenticity of these posters in circulation, most party activists have hailed him on social media, describing him as a philanthropist whose doors are opened to all party members for assistance.
