President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced that the nation is ready to host the rest of Africa in the highly anticipated 13th African Games.

The 13th African Games are scheduled to take place from March 8 to March 23, with the University of Ghana Stadium and Borteyman Sports Complex serving as key venues for various sporting disciplines.

During his State of the Nation Address to the Parliament, the president commended the efforts of the Local Organizing Committee and the Sports Ministry, highlighting the challenges overcome to ensure a successful hosting of the event.

In his address, President Akufo-Addo expressed pride in Ghana hosting the African Games for the first time, acknowledging the courage displayed in persisting with the decision despite financial challenges during the preparations.

“It gives me great pleasure to report that all the preparations are ready for Ghana to welcome sports men and women from around the continent to participate in the 13th edition of the African Games,” the President stated.
