President Mahama Agrees: Ghana Oil and Mineral Contracts are Predatory

President Mahama and his administration received a copy of the 16 Prescriptions 20th January, 2025, personally delivered to his office by NGO CNREM.

The document titled, Model Petroleum Agreement of Ghana (17/8/2000), currently on the GNPC website (GET A FREE COPY HERE) continues the pattern of fraud being perpetrated on Ghanaians. That document is askew – a device by crooks. It is useless. Rather, it is that oil industry standard document that must be quickly revised by President Mahama to incorporate the 16 PRESCRIPTIONS FOR STANDARD MINIMUM PSA FISCAL REGIME, and made mandatory.

Mr. Mahama should make the minimum standards compulsory for all new oil contracts signed on behalf of Ghana. Then, Ghana can begin to earn its fair share of Ghana’s oil wealth.

KEY ESSENTIAL QUESTION: What is Mr. Mahama going to do to immediately rectify the problem of severe loss of oil $$$, to ensure Ghana begins to earn its fair share of Ghana’s oil money now that he has seen the light and agrees with this Campaign and former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo that Ghana’s oil and minerals contracts are predatory?

ACTION & SOLUTION: President John Mahama should without further delay demand the Ghana Petroleum Commission and the GNPC, in coordination with Energy/Petroleum Minister(s), the PIAC, GRA, and the Council of State, suspend all new oil contracts. The GNPC-leading, should within 30 days publish a revised Model Petroleum Agreement with the 16 minimum standard prescriptions (GET A FREE E-COPY OF 16 PSMPFR BY FTOS-GH CAMPAIGN DELIVERED TO MR. MAHAMA) to guide all future oil contracts, including those under consideration at this time by any government entity, including the Minister(s) responsible for petroleum and energy. The revised/updated Model Petroleum Agreement of Ghana shall be mandatory minimum, not subject to the whim of any single solitary minister whatever the rank, any member of parliament, any judge; surely not any deep-pocketed foreign oil interest or country.

MEMO: The document dated “17/8/2000” on the GNPC website (GET A FREE COPY) is not fit for the purpose. It is part of the fraud on Ghana. It should not be simply removed. It must be swiftly revised and posted to enforce minimum mandatory standards for all Ghana oil contracts (ARCHIVED)
