President Mahama removes COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah as EOCO boss

President Mahama has terminated COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah’s appointment as EOCO Executive Director, asking for her reassignment to the Ghana Police Service.

President John Dramani Mahama has terminated COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah’s appointment as the Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).

According to 3news.com sources at the presidency, COP Addo-Danquah has been instructed to hand over her duty and return to the Ghana Police Headquarters for reassignment.

The directive comes amidst efforts by the government to restructure EOCO, an agency tasked with investigating and prosecuting economic crimes and corruption.

President Mahama’s decision is believed to be aimed at reinvigorating the agency and addressing public concerns over its recent performance, particularly in high-profile financial crime cases.
