President John Dramani Mahama’s first day at work saw him receiving the President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina where they discussed projects financing issues.
The duo also discussed how the ailing economy of the country can be revamped and made viable.
This visit according to political watchers say is a sign of a major boost to Ghana’s economy.
In a Facebook post , the President wrote :
One of the key meetings I held on my first day of work as President was with the President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina.
We discussed how theAfDB can continue to support and finance major economic and social infrastructure projects, especially as my government sets out to reset the economy and begin revamping deteriorated critical infrastructure.

The President on his first day at work also co-chaired a crucial meeting to resolve the looming energy crisis created by the ex-while Akufo Addo government.
The meeting co-chaired by the Chief of Staff Julius Derbrah had all the energy stakeholders and Partners present including former Energy Minister John Jinapor to find a lasting solutions to what appears to be an orchestration by the immediate past government to plunge this country into darkness.
