Prof. Naana Jane gives Afenyo-Markin a Fierce Response his Age Criticism  

Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has delivered a fiery response to Majority Leader in Parliament, Alex Afenyo-Markin, following his insinuation about her age.

Speaking at a recent gathering with female journalists in Accra, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed her pride in her age and gratitude for the blessings of long life bestowed upon her by God. Refuting claims of a lack of succession plan within the NDC, she staunchly defended her selection as the vice presidential candidate.

The controversy surrounding her age and candidature erupted earlier this year during a parliamentary session, resulting in a chaotic disruption of proceedings.

Afenyo-Markin’s remarks disparaging her age prompted calls for a retraction and public apology, eventually leading to a press conference by NDC MPs to address the issue.
