The Head Pastor of Joy and Love Ministry International, Prophet Appiah Dankwah, has warned Christians that recalcitrance leads to self-destruction, urging them to live according to the teachings of the Bible and do God’s will to secure a place in His Kingdom after death. This message was delivered during a sermon at the church’s auditorium in Shiabu, near Race Course in Accra, last Friday.

Lessons from the Israelites’ Recalcitrance

Expounding on the theme, Prophet Appiah Dankwah referenced Exodus 11, recounting how God provided manna for the Israelites during their 40-year journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. Despite clear instructions to collect only enough manna for each day, some Israelites disobeyed and stored extra, which rotted and became infested with maggots by the next morning. This, the Prophet explained, was the result of their recalcitrance and failure to follow God’s guidance.

God’s Power in Preserving Manna

The Prophet highlighted that manna collected the day before the Sabbath, under God’s instruction, remained fresh for the Sabbath day, emphasizing the power of obedience. He also recounted that the manna preserved in the Covenant Box as a testimony to future generations remained intact for years, until an earthquake struck the Temple grounds after Jesus’ death, causing it to vanish.

“This shows that God has power and authority. His instructions should always be followed and never contravened,” Prophet Appiah Dankwah emphasized.

In a revelation that astonished many congregants, Prophet Appiah Dankwah shared that manna is considered food for angels. He expressed disappointment that the Israelites, being a chosen people, did not strictly adhere to God’s voice despite this divine provision. He further explained that once the Israelites reached the Promised Land, which flowed with “milk and honey,” the manna ceased to fall, as they now had all they needed.

No More Manna Today

Prophet Appiah Dankwah concluded that while manna no longer falls from heaven in modern times, Christians must still strive for their daily bread without disobeying God’s instructions. “Contravening God’s commandments can lead to self-destruction,” he cautioned.

Spiritual Insights and Miracles

The Prophet, renowned for his deep spiritual insights and ability to unveil hidden meanings in the Bible, shared that his 43-year journey with God has blessed him with profound knowledge, healing powers, and the gift of dream interpretation. Congregants marveled at his revelations, particularly the notion that angels consume manna.

One church member noted that Prophet Appiah Dankwah’s ministry is characterized by miracles, signs, wonders, and testimonies of healing, describing the service as “eye-opening” and spiritually uplifting.
