Qatar Charity supports Adentan Municipality with a 3-unit classroom Block

The Adentan Municipal Assembly (AdMA) has commissioned a 3-unit classroom block for lower primary with auxiliary facilities for the Adjiringanor Basic School.

It was funded by Qatar Charity at a cost of 204.000.50 Ghana Cedi and handed over to the Adenta Municipal Education Directorate.

The facility which was completed within 3-months is to facilitate teaching and learning activities and also get rid of children learning under trees.

The MCE of AdMA, Daniel Alexander Nii Noi Adumuah expressed gratitude to the foundation for putting up the edifice within a short period.

“The facility would go a long way to help the staff and students in their learning and teaching activities,” he said.

The support followed an appeal made by the Municipal Education Directorate to the foundation to help address accommodation challenges of the school.

“This assistance is all part of the Public-Private Partnership which is in line with education,” Adumouah said.

“Since the GETFund project cannot tackle all the issues we are confronted within the Municipality, the Qatar charity Foundation support is highly welcomed,” he added.

He advised the children to make good use of the facility, learn hard to become beneficial to society, and pledged to ensure regular maintenance.

Nii Noi Adumuah further indicated that the Assembly would make periodic checks on the facility to ensure they remain in good condition to facilitate teaching and learning activities in the area.

He said the Assembly would put in place the necessary efforts to provide all the needed items like Veronica buckets, hand sanitizer, nose masks among others to schools to ensure observance of  COVID-19 safety protocols

The Country Director of Qatar Charity Foundation, Izzeddin Yousuf Daifallah said the foundation would continue to provide educational support to Ghana when needed at all times.
