Queen Mother endorses NDC’s Women’s Dev’t Bank proposal

The Queen Mother of Breman Essiam, Nana Efua Essiwaa II, has publicly endorsed the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) promise to establish a Women Development Bank, describing it as a significant boost for traders and businesswomen.

Speaking at a community durbar in Breman Essiam, located in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency of the Central Region, the Queen Mother expressed her support during the campaign tour of the NDC running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

Nana Efua Essiwaa II highlighted the financial challenges women in the country face when trying to raise capital for their businesses.

She emphasized that the proposed bank would provide much-needed relief and support to women entrepreneurs.

The Queen Mother expressed her optimism that the NDC would win the upcoming December 7 general elections, allowing them to establish the bank and assist women across the nation.

She also commended the area’s Member of Parliament and Minority Leader, Mr  Casiel Ato Forson, for his exemplary leadership and outstanding performance.

Nana Efua Essiwaa II urged the NDC to recognize his hard work when they gained political power.

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the NDC running mate, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to women’s welfare, explaining that the establishment of the Women Development Bank is a key priority for the NDC’s flagbearer, Mr. John Dramani Mahama. She also emphasized that job creation for the youth is high on the party’s agenda, with plans to implement a 24-hour economy to provide decent employment opportunities for the unemployed.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further outlined the NDC’s National Apprenticeship Programme, which aims to equip artisans with essential skills.

She concluded by urging the electorate to vote overwhelmingly for John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming December 7 general elections, emphasizing that these proposed policies can only be realized if the NDC is elected into power.
