Rawlings Funeral : Day one of File Past Ends, Body lifted to unknown location

Day one of the file past around the body of former President Jerry John John Rawlings ended at 5:00 pm on Monday as the body has been lifted and taken to unknown location.

Scores of sympathizers including political bigwigs, ahead of the relocation of the body thronged the International Conference centre to pay their last respect to the man popularly known as Papa J.

The four day funeral of the late former President begun on Sunday with a requiem mass (church service) at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, officiated by Arch Bishop of Cape coast Arch Bishop Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle.

The Body of the former President, senaradioonline.com understands will be brought back to the International Conference Centre on Tuesday for final file past pending the burial and final funeral rite on Wednesday.

This evening, the leadership of the NDC holds a Symposium at the Kama Conference Centre in honour of the Founder of the Party where former President Mahama and a host of Party functionaries are expected to attend.
