Reduce the number of Parliamentarians to save money (Learning from the Italians)

The Italian parliament voted to reduce the number of their Parliamentarians to save 1billion dollars over a decade. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-49979103. Yes, those are the type of brains Ghana needs as lawmakers and managers of a dying and overheated economy.

On June 30, 2020, I launched my Presidential Campaign Document titled ‘Moving Ghana away from economic Slavery.’ A document which I donated to the people of Ghana.
Among the many reform measures I proposed for adoption was to drastically reduce the size of Government operating with maximum 40 Ministers and a reduction of Parliamentary seats from 275 to 128.  The intention was to save as much money as we can to create jobs.
By my calculations, the savings on Ministerial expenditures alone was going to employ over 183 000 graduates, including trained nurses who have for seven consecutive years not been posted. That is when they are paid 1,500.00Ghs a month as salaries.
My fellow Ghanaians, the economy of the country can not administer larger legislative assembly, the simple reason being that every constituency created calls for a parliamentarian, and an added cost to the already over bloated civil and public service bill, that alone consumes over 70% of the total National income (GDP). It is only common sense that do not require the IMF/WORLD BANK directive.
Ghana must go the Italian way as I recommended in my 2020 campaign document.
1. Reduce the number of Ministries, and create Departments under them. That will save the Nation, Billions of Ghana Cedis annually needed for Development.
2. Reduce the number of Constituencies by 50%. Allow every town or village with a population of more than one thousand to form Local Councils. Charge them with the responsibility to develop their own towns, with internally generated funds, plus some subvention from central Government. The local councils will elect their own leaders who will be accountable to their subjects. The idea of true local governance shall be well structured under a decentralized system, with monitoring teams from districts and regional secretariats, at difference.
If we can not do this to save our country from being a beggar nation, then we can not blame anyone who label us as Axxhole.
