REMOVE EC, EOCO & OSP: Akufo-Addo no longer Conveyor Belt for Article 146 Petitions…
The most glaring example came to the fore when OccupyGhana turned a blind eye to refusal of President Akufo-Addo to act on the Article 146 Petition for the removal of Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.
Did you know that there are TWO (2) ARTICLE 146 PETITIONS FOR THE REMOVAL OF JEAN ADUKWEI MENSA AS CHAIRPERSON OF THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION that President Akufo-Addo has refused to act on in breach of the Constitution of Ghana?
The first Article 146 Petition for the removal of Jean Adukwei Mensa was recieved by President Akufo-Addo on 21st January, 2021.
For almost three and half years President Akufo-Addo has refused to transmit the Article 146 Petition to the Chief Justice for action as prescribed by the Constitution of Ghana.
The first Petition highlighted ten (10) serious infractions including Procurement Breaches, Disenfranchisement of SALL Voters, Election Security Failure, bias of pro-NPP members of the Electoral Commission among others was signed by Prince-Derek Adjei and Elikem Kotoko.
The second Petition signed by Oliver Barker Vormawor was submited a year later, and also ignored by President Akufo-Addo.
The OccupyGhana folks who championed the narrative of the President acting as a Conveyor Belt in Article 146 Petition cases;
The OccupyGhana folks were aware yet have conveniently refused to take on President Akufo Addo for his contemptuous breaches of the Constitution of Ghana.
OccupyGhana through its lawyers Ace Ankoma, Yaw Oppong, Kofi Bentil and Sampson Lardi Anyinenyi claimed during the removal of Mrs. Charlotte Osei as Chairperson through a defective Article 146 Petition;
The OccupyGhana folks claimed that President Akufo Addo had no choice but to act as a conveyor belt or postal address for the transmission of the petition to the Chief Justice for further action.
The Dishonesty and Hypocrisy of the OccupyGhana folks is now well known.
The most glaring example came to the fore when OccupyGhana turned a blind eye to refusal of President Akufo-Addo to act on the Article 146 Petition for the removal of Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.
The Sophia Akuffo Article 146 Petition included an appendix listing the Beneficiaries of the fraudulently allocated State Lands and Looted La Stool Lands, complete with the particulars of the hundreds of Land Looting transactions.
The attached evidence of Land Looting attached to the petition made it impossible for President Akufo-Addo to act on it, as many of his appointees and cronies were on the long list of Land Looters.
OccupyGhana folks hypocritically pretended to be unaware for two years until she eventually retired on her 70th birthday;
The OccupyGhana pretence continued despite Occupier Kweku Baako confirming the existence and receipt of an Article 146 Petition for the removal of Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo by President Akufo-Addo on Samson Lardi Anyenini’s Newsfile programme.
The Petition by the former Auditor General Yao Domelevo and others to Parliament for a probe into the EOCO Boss Mrs. Tiwaa Addo Dankwa’s refusal to investigate the Cecilia Dapaa case shows a lack of faith in President Akufo-Addo to act on Article 146 Petitions.
The bi-partisan probe into the money laundering case involving Cecilia Dapaa following the stage managed advice from the Attorney-General to abandon any investigation will be keenly followed.
The Parliamentary probe us expected to follow the format of the televised Ken Ofori-Atta Parliamentary censure.
The former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu’s Petition for the removal of the current Special Prosecutor however, will be a test of President Akufo-Addo’s fidelity to the Constitution of Ghana and that of his OccupyGhana friends to stand by their Conveyor Belt theory.
IMANI’s public fight with the EC and the counter claims of lying must be settled once and for all, as the allegations being made by IMANI are contained in the Article 146 Petition for the removal of Jean Adukwei Mensa as Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
The core of the NDC’s public disagreement with the EC are also contained in the Article 146 Petition for the removal of Jean Adukwei Mensa as Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
WHY IS PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO REFUSING TO ACT ON THE ARTICLE PETITION IN BREACH OF THE CONSTITUTION OF GHANA?
WHY IS PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO’S REFUSAL TO ACT AS A CONVEYOR BELT NOT ATTRACTING ANY COMMENT FROM OCCUPYGHANA?
Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators.
Let nobody, including OccupyGhana take Ghanaians for granted…
STAY TUNED.
