Reopening of Schools have led to a surge in Covid-19 cases – NDC

The partial reopening of schools for the resumption of Academic work for final-year students has lead to an increase in the spread of COVID-19, this is according to the opposition National Democratic Congress party (NDC).

National Communication Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi at a press briefing on Monday said “the schools were hurriedly reopened under the guise of facilitating the writing of WASSCE”.
He alleged that “the real motive of president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was to make rooms for the electoral commission to register senior high school students in order for them to participate in the up coming Election 2020 in Ghana”.
