Salaries of Zoomlion workers may be increased soon – Local Government Minister

In an exclusive interview with Ahmed Ibrahim on 3FM Sunrise on March 18, the Minister mentioned that he has “engaged with the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to see how we can increase the salaries of Zoomlion workers.” He stated.

Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and Member of Parliament for Banda, Ahmed Ibrahim says plans are in place to increase the salaries of Zoomlion Ghana Limited Workers.

Workers of the waste management company have over the years raised concerns over poor conditions of service.

In an exclusive interview with Ahmed Ibrahim on 3FM Sunrise on March 18, the Minister mentioned that he has “engaged with the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) to see how we can increase the salaries of Zoomlion workers.” He stated.

He also reaffirmed his dedication to supporting operatives within the established framework, ensuring timely and proper disposal and recycling of waste.

“We are re-introducing town council “summon summon” and we will reform Zoomlion to meet the growing demand for sanitation.” Ahmed Ibrahim emphasised.
