Hon. Samuel Nartey George has strongly criticized the conduct of minority leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, accusing him of disrespectful and inappropriate behavior toward the Clerk to the Appointments Committee of Parliament – Madam Gifty Jiagge Gobah.

In a Facebook post, the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram expressed outrage over what he described as “despicable” treatment of Madam Gobah by the Minority Leader. He suggested that Afenyo-Markin would not have acted in the same manner if the Clerk had been male, labeling the behavior as misogynistic and narcissistic.

He further called on the Clerk to Parliament, Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, to formally bring the matter before Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S.K. Bagbin. According to him, the alleged conduct is unacceptable, especially in the wake of the passage of the Affirmative Action Law, which seeks to promote gender equality and respect for women in leadership roles.

Sam George commended Madam Gobah for her professionalism in the face of adversity, urging her to remain strong.
