Both disorders are uncommon

While schizophrenia and Dissociative Personality Disorder are severe and often misunderstood, it’s important to remember that they aren’t very common. They each affect approximately 1% of the population and, should a person exhibit more than two of the primary symptoms described above, it is best to seek help from a healthcare professional and work on an effective treatment plan.3
