Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter, Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema has denied dating American singer, songwriter, actress, producer, and businesswoman, Selena Marie Gomez.

There is speculation surrounding Selena Marie Gomez alleged romantic involvement with singer and rapper, Rema.

The rumors of their dating came to light in the social media after the two were spotted together at the MTV Video Music Awards. Their fans have been curious to see the relationship between the two musicians when Selena Gomez was seen in a notably cheerful disposition, with her head resting on Rema’s shoulder.

But Rema has refuted the claim that he is in a relationship with Selena Gomez. According to the “Dumebi” hitmaker, the news of their alleged dating is funny.

He claimed that Selena is someone he respects a lot and to think she is dating his friend is impossible. Adding that Selena is too older than him and he cannot date someone who is older than him.

“A lot of people have been spreading the news of me dating Latin American singer Selena Gomez, to be serious after I did calm down remix with her which happen to be one of the best Afro beat song to ever come out of Africa, people starting spreading rumors of us dating which I find it very funny because Selena is someone I respect a lot and to think she is dating my friend Justin Bieber, so it’s not possible for us dating, but again truth be told she is way too older than me and I can’t someone is who older than me.” He wrote.
