Convener of the One Ghana Movement, Senyo Hosi, has described as wickedness how the government has allowed illegal mining (galamsey) activities to destroy several river bodies in the country.

Speaking during a conversation on Joy News about the devastations being caused by galamsey, he argued that although President Akufo-Addo sought power from Ghanaians drinking ‘kalyppo’, it appears he wants to leave the citizens with brownish galamsey polluted water to drink and die.

The former CEO of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors said it would be a disgrace for the President leave behind a legacy of brown water from the galamsey polluted water bodies.

“I don’t think Nana Addo wants this to be his legacy. He should get this very clear. Nana, you came with Kalyppo—when you were coming, you were drinking Kalyppo, and we were voting for you. We will be sacking you with brown water because that is the future you want for my children. It is wickedness,” Senyo Hosi shared in his submission.

He said every Ghanaian must be concerned about the havoc being caused by galamsey in the country since it affects everyone.

“It is unfortunate that they don’t seem as organized as they should be at this time. The environment is not being destroyed for the good or bad of one particular group of people—it is being destroyed for all of us,” Senyo Hosi argued.
