Shatta Wale announces new project ‘AIP’ to discover music talents in Accra

Dancehall musician Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah has announced a new initiative to discover and develop budding musical talents in the nation.

Dubbed, the Accra Invasion Project (AIP), the initiative seeks to identify and assist emerging artistes in Greater Accra and advance their artistic abilities.

The ‘Killa Ji Me’ crooner revealed the project via his Facebook page and urged Ghanaians to back it and help promote local talent.

In his post on September 16, he stated, “The Accra Invasion project (AIP). Today, my team and I have resolved to discover talents in the capital, Greater Accra. I encourage everyone to prepare to support their local artists if their names are featured in this project. Together, we can make a significant impact.”

With hashtags such as #AIP, #SM, and #ShattaAndFansAlbum, the Accra Invasion Project is expected to create opportunities for emerging talents, allowing them to showcase their potential on a larger platform. Shatta Wale’s initiative promises to bring new energy to the Ghanaian music scene as fans eagerly await the discovery of the next big stars.

On September 13, Shatta Wale offered to support a fan with special needs with an amount of GHC20,000 for his medical treatment.

The ‘Killa Ji Mi’ hitmaker’s support follows Berla Mundi’s interview with the fan, Samuel Akonnor on TV3’s The Day Show.

Samuel, a cervical dystonia patient, during the interview aired on Sunday, September 8, expressed his long-standing desire to meet with his favourite artiste, Shatta Wale.

After a short video of the interview which showed Berla making a passionate appeal to the Dancehall artiste circulated, Wale has promised to aid Samuel with his medical treatment and expressed his willingness to meet his fan.

“Bella Mundi because of this humble boy I am coming for an interview and also support the boy with 20kghc ..Let’s do this interview Asap,” Shatta Wale reacted to the video on X.
