Shooting Incident at Voting Center: Police Provide Update

The Ghana Police Service, through its Public Relations Officer, has briefed journalists on a shooting incident that occurred today during the voting exercise in Nyankpala, a town in the Northern Region. Four suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody to assist with further investigations.
The incident resulted in the death of one individual, whose body has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy. Additionally, two others sustained injuries and are receiving medical attention at a local hospital.
The suspects arrested in connection with the incident have been identified as Majid Issa, Fodi Issiaga Kamara, Yakubu Simalia, and Aladji Bashiru Mohamed.
The Public Relations Officer appealed to the general public to remain law-abiding during this critical period of general elections.
