Shut up Mahama, Go away Akufo-Addo; destroyers of Sikaman Part 1 – Nii Amu Darku writes

It's only an insane person who'll believe that if Mahama had won the 2016 elections and handed over to himself, the debt of Ghana at ¢122b then, wouldn't have ballooned beyond ¢522b by end of 2022

Not long after I wrote my intro of the above topic, I received a 44minute video recording of Ato Forson from my friend Thomas. That’s good. What shocked me was his comments below the video: “facts are facts?”. My response was, ” Really? Do you call these facts?”

If these are facts, then they’re meaningless facts at best and self-incriminating at worst.

According to Ato, our debt will be ¢522b by end of year and that means, Akufo-Addo’s government alone will be responsible for 87% of our debt. That’s actually not true, the figure is 76%. That’s still horrible and that alone is enough for Akufo-Addo to go away now and Ghana never ever to vote for Bawumia, the head of Nana’s economic management team.

Mahama, as head of Mills economic management team and later state President, met a national debt of ¢9b and left a debt of ¢122b. It means he was responsible for ¢113b on the 6th of January 2017 when he handed over to Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government. It further means that, on 6th January 2017, Mahama owned 92.6% of Ghana’s debt. Now, if Nana should go away for owning 76% of debt, then Mahama should shut up if he owned an unprecedented 92.6% of our debt when he was humiliatingly booted out of power. Mahama should never ever come close to political power again in Ghana. For NDC not to know this simple truth and bring Mahama back means it’s truly the incompetent party it’s said to be.

When you inherit a debt of ¢9b and ballooned it to ¢122b, you have increased the debt stock by 1256%. It’s only an insane person who’ll believe that if Mahama had won the 2016 elections and handed over to himself, the debt of Ghana at ¢122b then, wouldn’t have ballooned beyond ¢522b by end of 2022. If an increase of ¢122b to ¢522b, which is 328% is unacceptable and for that matter Nana must go away, how we do accept Mahama with 1256% increase as his replacement? Are we sick or what? Are we dogs to go back to our vomit? Come on! This is disgusting and extraordinary disappointing for my good friend, Thomas to tell me facts are facts.

Any incumbent President who loses power to a toxic and good-for-nothing politician like Akufo-Addo isn’t only grossly incompetent, but also very irresponsible. Mahama is solely responsible for plunging Sikaman into this Armageddon. If Mahama were reflective and not greedy, he would never seek to be rewarded by Ghanaians for the pains they’re suffering, because it was his incompetence that made Akufo-Addo president. It’s just unbelievable that Mahama and his apparatchiks believe he’s the cure to what he partly caused. Even, by end of 2022, 6years after leaving power, Mahama still owns 23.4% of our debt stock. Am I defending Nana? God forbid!! What I’m saying is that Mahama has no moral authority to talk about Ghana’s debt and present himself as the cure. He and Nana are Siamese twins.

This is just the prelims based on Ato’s “talk.” I’m yet to go into the wrong figures, wrong conclusions and infantile solutions given by Mahama. I’ll then blast Nana’s delirious speech and finally, present my solutions.

Stay tuned.

Tswa omanye aba.
