He said, “When we came, there were the Ameri and others. These are technical documents, and you need to read and understand them and get technical people to explain them to you. The fact that you’re an MP doesn’t make you all-knowing.

Several people in there did not even work after they left school and became MPs. They have not worked all their lives, the only job they have done is to be members of Parliament. There are several of them like that. So just imagine if this person ultimately becomes a Minister. They have not worked before. Although if you’re a Minister you have public servants and civil servants around to help you do the work, there is the need for experience too.

If you’ve worked before becoming a parliamentarian, it is helpful. We have people who have worked but a majority of them have never worked in their lives. They become Ministers just because they have friends in higher places. We are in Parliament with you and you know most of these people are not on top of the issues,” he said.
