Sodomy teacher remanded again as AG advice delays

It will be recalled that on Thursday, October 14, the Tamale Circuit Court remanded the accused person into police custody to reappear on Thursday, October 21 for judgement after the accused pleaded guilty to all the charges.

The Tamale Circuit Court presided over by His Lordship Alexander Oworae has remanded Social Studies teacher of Kulpi R/C Natomah Yamousah Otabel, who allegedly sodomized some 18 pupils, into police custody to reappear on Tuesday, November 2.

According to the judge, the docket of the case has been submitted to the Attorney General’s office and waiting for advice.

But in court on Thursday, the judge remanded the accused again as a result of the advice to be received from the Attorney General.

Meanwhile, the medical examination report conducted on the victims at the Tamale Teaching Hospital is yet to be submitted to police.
