Speaker Bagbin’s Absence at Supreme Court Hearing Remains a Mystery

Efforts by this publication to uncover the reasons behind the absence of Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Bagbin, along with his legal team or representatives, from the Supreme Court sitting on Monday, November 11, 2024, have yielded no clear answers.

Our inquiries began at the Media Relations Department of Parliament, where we were redirected to the Legal Department. From there, we were referred to the Public Affairs Department, yet none of these departments could provide a concrete explanation. Seeking further clarity, we visited the Speaker’s Secretariat to consult his personal aides, but this also proved unfruitful.

The reason behind Speaker Bagbin’s absence at the hearing remains elusive, leaving unanswered questions about this unexpected turn of events.
