Star of Sea Catholic School: 2004 Year Group Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Generous Donation

The 2004 Year Group of Star of the Sea Catholic School in Dansoman has celebrated its 20th anniversary with a heartfelt Thanksgiving Mass at the Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Accra. The event not only marked two decades since their graduation but also indicated their commitment to giving back to the school community.

As part of the celebrations, the alumni group generously donated a collection of library books aimed at enhancing the school’s educational resources. This contribution reflects their dedication to supporting current students and fostering a love for reading.

Both were presented with citations and cash gifts in recognition of their significant contributions to the school’s legacy.

Stephen Somuah, President of the 2004 Year Group, emphasized their ongoing commitment to supporting Star of the Sea.

“This school shaped who we are today, and it is only right that we give back. Our goal has always been to create opportunities for current students while preserving the legacy of those who built this institution,” he stated.

Current Headmistress of the school, Madam Theresa Vaa-Ib, expressed her gratitude for the alumni’s support and encouraged other year groups to contribute as the school prepares for its 35th anniversary in 2026. This celebration not only commemorates past achievements but also reinforces a strong sense of community and shared purpose among current and former students.
