STATE CAPTURE & LA LAND LOOTING: Follow the money…

La Stool Lands including the Beachfront have become the currency for Corruption.

The value of La prime lands in Airport, Cantonments, Legon, Labone and the La Beachfront has made them the target of money launderers seeking to hide the proceeds of Corruption and Galamsey.

Transactions in these prime lands and building on them has become the conduit for primary money laundering method…

ACT 1036 demands transparency in all Land Transactions.

ACT 1036 also demands accountability from all fiduciaries who participate in Land transactions.

ACT 1036 imposes still fines and long terms of imprisonment for those who infringe on the law.

Fortunately, there are buildings springing up on most of these prime lands as evidence of the transactions which necessarily would be documented.

Examination of the land documents should show the parties to the agreement, lease etc.

Forensic audit of these transactions should yield information on such details as the money paid, who to and by who.

A quick trip to the Beachfront where the Kpeshie Lagoon enters the sea will show two illegal structures on either side of the estuary…

On the left is the building built at the edge of the estuary which the Greater Accra Regional Minister recently threatened to demolish at the request of the La Traditional Council.

On the right edge of the estuary is the Polo Club which Freddy Blay claims his son bought or leased from the La Traditional Council.

The Kpeshie Lagoon floods both as they are obstructing its path to the sea, virtually blocking the estuary which grants the lagoon access to the sea…

Flush floods have occurred on many occasions due to suc encroachments and filling of the Kpeshie on the banks in the quest to reclaim land…

The Regional Minister and the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly must be even handed.

There must be a forensic audit of the Beaches in La and a thorough investigation conducted into all transactions in the Beachfront Lands.

The Security Services and Investigative agencies must follow the money, the payments made in these transactions will lead them to the persons of interest in the transaction investigation…

The Lands Commission is complicit in all these transactions which have multiple forgeries as confirmed by the Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor himself on the Metro TV Good Morning Ghana programme.

THESE TRANSACTIONS ARE VICIATED BY FRAUD.

The East La Dadekotopon Trust and the Management of the Various Beach Resorts in La must be audited.

A FORENSIC AUDITING DATING AS FAR BACK AS POSSIBLE IS REQUIRED.

The huge amounts of money made at the La Beach resorts most of which were unaccounted for by successive managers must be fully accounted for to end the litigation and claims of embezzlement against past and present managers of the beach resorts.

The Ghana Tourist Board and the La Traditional Council must also fully account for proceeds from the La Beach.

Similarly, past and present Trustees of the East La Dadekotopon Development Trust must render full account for their stewardship.

The East La Dadekotopon Development Trust is replete with allegations of the trustees having defrauded prospective many land owners in the Tse Addo area and enriched themselves from the sale or loot of Trust Lands at the expense of the Stool and Settlors.

The death of the La Mantse as First Settlor is inconsequential to the audit as he is so, on behalf of the La Stool, which does not die with the occupant of the La Stool.

Those machinating to indefinitely delay the installation of a new La Mantse following the death of the La Mantse, Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III, so they can continue their Looting will not succeed.

The setting up of the La Stool Lands Secretariat is a requirement of ACT 1036, all payments must mandatorily be transparent and fully accounted for.

On the larger La Stool lands, State Lands and Bungalows too; a forensic audit will be required following the publication of the status of all State Acquired Lands and Bungalows by the Lands Ministry this week as promised by the Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor on the Joy FM Super Morning Show last week.

The transparency and accountability required by ACT 1036 must be enforced and insisted upon by Ghanaians.

President Akufo Addo must ensure the publication of the status of all State Acquired Lands by the Lands Ministry and the status of all State Bungalows by the Works and Housing Minister.

Ghanaians must be Citizens and not Spectators.

Any money, revenue or compensation that accrues to the La Stool on account of its Lands or Beachfront can be paid into an ESCROW ACCOUNT lodged at the La Bank, if there is any dispute or controversy until same is resolved.

The time for probity and accountability has come for the people of La and Ghanaians at large.

People’s Power will prevail, if the State refuses to act…
