Statement: Reaffirmation of Support for John Mahama by the president of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region is pleased to reaffirm the recent endorsement of our Flagbearer, H.E. JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA, by the esteemed President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV.

The traditional leader made this and other profound statements during his welcome address at an outdoor meeting with the Former President and his Campaign Team in his palace as part of his tour of the Volta Region.

In his speech, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV, who is the Paramount Chief of the Anfoega Traditional Area, emphasized that John Mahama represents the hope of the Volta Region and Ghana at large in restoring progress and development. He also lauded the NDC’s deliberate 24 Hour Economy Policy that promises jobs for especially the numerous unemployed youthful population. He prayed for a very peaceful election come December 7th.

As we approach the forthcoming general elections, this endorsement underscores the trust and confidence that the chiefs and people of the Volta Region have in the leadership of the NDC. We are confident that, under the leadership of our Flagbearer, Ghana will experience a resurgence of sustainable development and prosperity for all.

We are deeply honored by this endorsement and assure the people of the Volta Region that the NDC is committed to advancing policies that will bring substantial and tangible development and improve the quality of life for all Ghanaians.

The Volta Region has always been a beacon of support for the NDC, and we are confident that this support will continue to grow as we work together to build a country we all anticipate.

We call on all citizens to rally behind H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC as we strive to restore hope, stability and progress to Ghana.
