The two students who were also affected are currently in the Ho Teaching Hospital receiving treatments.

Reports say the late Emmanuel hawks coconut by the roadside after school.

Madam Ahafianyo told 3FM’s Sunrise hosted by Alfred Ocansey on Tuesday that “in our part of the world it is attributed to spirituality but in the US, it [thunder] kills about 50 people in a year so it is very possible in Ghana”.

She added “There could be thunder which could kill in the coming rains in Ghana. Yes. It can happen. You don’t have to be on phone while it is on charge and it is raining, do not be closer to mirror while it is raining, do not be under a tree while it is raining and even if you are in doors, you don’t have to be closer to a window.”
