Support private universities to produce quality leaders for the country – Gov’t urged
They revealed that students at private universities work extremely hard, even more so than those at government universities, but lack many necessities, making some people to believe that private university students know nothing.
Students of Akim State College University in Akyem Asene have urged the government to provide the necessary support to private universities in order to produce quality leaders for the country, as government universities alone cannot absorb all of the country’s post-secondary students.
They made this statement during their SRC week celebration of the Akim State College University in Akyem Asene, Eastern region.
According to them, the government should not leave everything to the proprietors because students from private universities eventually become leaders in the country.
They revealed that students at private universities work extremely hard, even more so than those at government universities, but lack many necessities, making some people to believe that private university students know nothing.
They have thus called on the government to provide private universities across the country with the necessary support so that they can be seen as equal to students from government universities, as both complete their studies and become future leaders of the country.
