There are a lot of things happening in Ayew family and only God knows – Jordan Ayew on captaincy issues

Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has opened up on his captaincy role.

According to him, he never thought about the captaincy role or any leadership in the Black Stars but it is an honour to be given such a position.

Speaking in an interview with Joynews, Jordan said the Ayew family have passion for football and people enjoy their performances but later things turn around.

“There are a lot of things that are happening and I am not even thinking about this captaincy. I am someone who believes in destiny, we (Ayew family) are just a passionate family doing our best and people are enjoying our games but at the end of the day things happen and it is only God who knows and we take it in good faith.” The Leicester City  stated.

Jordan Ayew expressed optimism that he will succeed in his captainship position because of his past experiences.

Adding that he is open to everything and takes advice from his predecessors.

“It is an honor to captain the national team, to be honest with you guys I am not someone who thinks about captaincy or any leadership role. I am just someone who just wants to enjoy football, playing football and scoring goals and making people happy because football is all about making people happy.” He said.

“Football is a powerful game, obviously this captaincy was not in my mind, I am always quiet and focusing on it wasn’t in my mind. It is a lot of work and responsibilities but I have been with the best so I have learnt from them. Someone like Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew and Partey. And me myself if I focus I am always the best. Andre and Asamoah Gyan congratulated me and gave me advice, I am someone who is open to everything, I am not ignorant” Jordan indicated.
