They told us Wizkid won’t show up via text at 3:03 am – Live Hub rep

“We knew he was going to show that was the agreed plan. We got to know last minute that he wasn’t going to show. 3:03 am. And I’m giving you that exact time that we got to know. So they (his team) were there. We got to know via text that he wasn’t going to be there. That was at 3:03 am.”

Live Hub Entertainment, organisers of Wizkid Live at Accra Sports stadium, have addressed rumours of planning to defraud patrons by using Wizkid’s brand to promote their show. In response, they disclosed that they only had information that Wizkid won’t show up at 3:30 am the next day.

Addressing the issue of Wizkid’s no-show on TV3 New Day, a member of Live Hub’s management team explained events that led to disappointing the fans.

The Live Hub entertainment rep also mentioned that Wizkid had come to the venue for sound checks. He added that members of the Nigerian musician’s team were also present throughout the night, but they (organisers) got to know of Wizkid’s absenteeism through a text message.

The Live Hub rep said they have been legally advised not to divulge all the details. But they will answer some questions on their social media handles later today about Wizkid’s absence.

I was asked not to put out so much information. The least, the better. Some of these questions will be answered later on our socials.

But as for now, what I want Ghanaians to know is that we are ready to refund the appropriate people. And we will look into this, we will investigate this and make sure that all gaps or things that were done will be rectified.”
