Time to disband ECOWAS?

The military junta cares little about ECOWAS and its useless sanctions.

The toothless bull dog of ECOWAS has been disgraced and cut to size by the Guinean militay junta.
Akufo-Addo carried his arrogance to Guinea when he and the Ivory Coast leader (Allasane Ouatara) impudently tried to push Col. Mamady Doumbouya and his team to the
wall.
They demanded two things:
1. Release of the deposed Alpha Conde from “detention” and sending him into “exile” in another country.
2. Returning Guinea to constitutional democracy in 6 months.
The new team rejected those demands, even as the mass of Guineans lined the streets to hoot at Akufo-Addo and his team.
So, what next?
The military junta cares little about ECOWAS and its useless sanctions.
It is determined to deal with Alpha Conde and his gang of looters.
So, what is the worth of ECOWAS?
Let’s unpack the acronym (ECOWAS) itself to know that as envisaged and put in place, it is the “Economic Community of West African States”.
What has it so far accomplished in that light for the benefit of the sub-region?
Nothing worth our bother.
So, adding more to its plate by interfering in the internal affairs of member countries really exposes it as ineffectual and useless.
It is a nuisance to be disbanded.
When will Akufo-Addo ever succeed in any venture?
