“You are capable of repeating Ghana’s rich history against Nigeria today so go all out and deliver'’

Minister for Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has charged the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, to go all out and make Ghana proud as they play against Nigeria today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The match, which is the 2022 World Cup qualifier play-off would see the winner of the two-leg encounter going to Qatar.

“Ghana is solidly behind you and do your best not to let us down and that means you have to travel the extra mile to win handsomely,’’ he said in a message to the playing body and technical team of the Black Stars.

Dr. Prempeh, who is a football enthusiast, said: “Let the Nigerians understand football is played on the pitch and not by bragging off the pitch.’’

“Once again show Nigeria that Ghana is their masters when it comes to football as Ghana has beaten them on several occasions and this encounter should not be different,’’ he said.

He called on football supporters to troop to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and offer the team the needed support to enable them to deliver.
