Africa is an exciting market for the global technology company as it recently claimed to have facilitated 1 billion trips on the continent since entering the market less than 10 years ago.
Uber has also created over 3 million economic opportunities across the rides and delivery businesses.
Khaole says he is privileged to be part of a company due to its impact on the cities and communities it operates.
“We are certainly excited about the future, especially because next year, we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in SSA. We continue to remain committed to raising the bar on safety, as well as improving the experience of drivers, delivery people and riders using the Uber app – I am excited to be a part of this journey,” concludes Khaole.
