UCC opens new study centres across Ghana
As part of efforts to help produce more human resource personnel for Ghana, the University of Cape Coast College of Distance Education has opened new study centres in the country including Wassa Akropong, Sandema and Nsawam.
The Provost of the College, Prof Isaac Galyuon, said this in an interview at Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region.
He said plans are far advanced to open more study centres to bring the University closer to the doorstep of the people.
Prof Galyuon said more than ten centres have been established in the Western Region with more than 50 percent of them located in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
He asked the public to disabuse the notion that UCC programmes are very difficult and enrol in order to build their knowledge and skills to meet the current global competitive market.
