Ugandan Ghetto Kids stun judges on Britain’s Got Talent, gets Golden Buzzer

Known for their rendition of popular songs through comedic dance movies and ridiculous facial expressions, The Ghetto Kids have now landed a slot in the competition and will be seeking to walk away with the £250,000 prize money.

Ugandan dance group, The Ghetto Kids formerly known as Triplets Ghetto Kid have stunned fans and judges with their exceptional dance routine and moving story.

Founded in 2014 by Daouda Kavuma, the group comprising children from the Katwe slums in Kampala, Uganda gave a historic performance at their audition on the popular British reality show, Britain’s Got Talent.

Simon Cowell, 63, Amanda Holden, 52, Alesha Dixon, 44, and new judge Bruno Tonioli, 67 were visibly impressed with their performance which earned the group a coveted Golden Buzzer from Mr Tonioli.

Headed by Daouda Kavuma, the orphanage provides shelter and support to homeless children in Uganda. Their goal is not only to provide a safe space but also to use music and drama to enhance the lives of these children.

The children who wore green tribal print uniforms were elated and had their faces full of triumph after receiving the nod.

A video of their performance shared online has garnered over 178k  thousand views on their social media with netizens praising the kids for their exceptional talent and showmanship.
