University of Ghana urges 2023/2024 Graduates to “Proceed with Integrity”
During the event, Mrs. Mary Chinery-Hesse urged the graduates to harness the knowledge they have acquired to make a positive impact on society.

The February 2025 congregation of the University of Ghana has celebrated the academic accomplishments of students from all four colleges and the Accra City Campus who successfully completed their programs during the 2023/2024 academic year.
Over the course of 17 sessions, over 15,000 Students will receive their degrees. The ceremonies recognized recipients of advanced degrees such as PhD, MPhil, MA, MSc, and specialized master’s degrees in various disciplines, including:

- MPhil/MFA in Communication and related fields
- MPhil in CBAS, CHS, and COE
- Master of Health Economics and Master of Public Health
- MSc in Applied Health Social Science, Bioethics, Biostatistics, Clinical Trials, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Hygiene, Physiotherapy, Public Health Monitoring & Evaluation, and Speech & Language

During the event, Mrs. Mary Chinery-Hesse urged the graduates to harness the knowledge they have acquired to make a positive impact on society. “Every ending marks a new beginning,” she said, emphasizing the importance of hard work and commitment. She encouraged the new graduates to embody excellence, integrity, and service while upholding the values of dedication and perseverance.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo also congratulated the graduates, commending their diligence and resilience. “Stepping into the next chapter of your journey, I encourage you to carry forward the ethos of our University—‘Integri Procedamus’. Let this guiding principle remind you to always ‘proceed with integrity.’ In all your endeavors, let integrity be your compass, guiding every decision and action you take. Strive to contribute positively to society and leave a legacy that truly reflects the spirit of the University of Ghana,” she declared.
As the ceremony concluded, the University of Ghana not only celebrated its graduates’ academic milestones but also reinforced its commitment to providing a holistic education that equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen fields.
