“Unpleasant” comments: Multimedia Group apologizes, Mahama accepts

Former President John Dramani Mahama has accepted an apology from the Management of the Multimedia Group, operators of Asempa FM after one of their on-air staff “used words that were unpleasant” on his person in a radio broadcast.

The Multimedia Group apology signed by the Programmes Director of Asempa FM, Mr Sammy Yirenkyi and Mr A.C. Ohene, the Head of News and Current Affairs apologised unreservedly over the conduct of the host of the ‘Kanawu’ show Nana Akua Acheampomaa Sarfo-Adu.

“Nana Akua, while presenting one of our shows, dubbed Kanawu used words that were unpleasant to your person.

“As a result, the Management of the station wishes to unreservedly apologise to you on its own behalf and on behalf of the presenter, Nana Akua
Acheampomaa Sarfo-Adu.

The apology letter shared by Mr Mahama on Twitter with the caption: “Accepted”, assured that internal measures have been taken to prevent the incident from recurring.

“Please, be assured that we have taken all the internal measures necessary to prevent this unfortunate incident from recurring”.
