UPSA Honours Rebecca, Adeline, Theodora
During the session, graduating students will be conferred with PhD in Marketing, Peace, Security and Intelligence Management, MSc. Pension Management, MA in Brands Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Organisational Development Programmes.
The First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Justice Adeline Bamford-Addo, former Speaker of Parliament, and Justice (Mrs.) Georgina Theodora Wood, former Chief Justice will be conferred with honorary doctorate degrees by the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The conferment will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 during the university’s 15th congregation at the Kofi Ohene-Koduah auditorium.
The honour is a testament to the excellence of the women, spanning decades of unbroken professional and public service to Ghana.
Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, founder of the Rebecca Foundation will be honoured for her exceptional visionary ideas and lifetime engagement, immensely contributing to the development of women and children’s health and education.
Justice Adeline Bamford-Addo will also be honoured for her professional and remarkable service in the public service in Ghana and as a pacesetter in both the judiciary and legislature. Her experience and expertise impacted greatly in the drafting of the 1992 Constitution.
Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood, on the other hand, has contributed for decades towards the enhancement of the judiciary.
