V/R: Mahama pledges to complete abandoned Eastern Corridor roads to Bawku
He promised that all stalled projects in the region, including the revival of the Juapong Textiles factory, would be resumed and completed under his leadership.
The 2024 flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr John Dramani Mahama, has assured the people of Juapong of his commitment to completing the abandoned Eastern Corridor roads, which stretches through to Bawku, if elected in the upcoming general elections.
Addressing party faithful and supporters in Juapong as he commenced his tour of the Volta Region, Mr Mahama emphasised the NDC’s track record of prioritising development and infrastructure.
He promised that all stalled projects in the region, including the revival of the Juapong Textiles factory, would be resumed and completed under his leadership.
Mr Mahama also cautioned the electorate in the North Tongu Constituency against selling their conscience through vote-buying tactics allegedly employed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He urged them to remain steadfast in their support for the NDC, a party he described as dedicated to the genuine development of the region.
The tour marks the beginning of Mahama’s efforts to rally support across the Volta Region as the election season intensifies.
