The Office of the National Head for United Nations Association Commission for Women and Children Affairs, invites applications from qualified candidates for the positions described below. All positions report directly to the Head of the Commission for Women and Children Affairs.

POSITION 1 – DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
A suitable candidate for this position must be able to;
1. Analyse and interpret international policies, issues, legislations as well as the activities of governments, businesses and organisations overseas.
2. Liaise with government officials, civic bodies, research agencies, the media, and political parties concerned with our objectives.
3. Advise employers on matters of public policies and relations, evaluating programmes and policies for the organisation.
4. Develop international cooperation, projects in governmental and non – governmental forums and other related matters and activities.
5. Evaluate international cooperation programmes and projects, and serving as consultant on international laws and regulations regarding foreign relations.
6. Oversee staff development and training for programs and projects among others.
7. Design organization development strategies that helps this office to achieve its objectives.
SKILLS
1. Outstanding knowledge of political and international relations studies and theories

EXPERIENCE
At least two (2) years working experience in operations, international affairs or related fields.
QUALIFICATION
A. Minimum: A good Bachelors’ Degree with training and or experiences in International relations and diplomacy or Administration.
B. A Masters degree in Organisation development will be an added advantage.
REMUNERATION:
Salary and stipend will be determined based on where the candidate falls within United Nations pay structure.
POSITION 2: COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
A suitable candidate for this position must be able to;
1. Implement communications strategies for both internal and external projects.
2. Ensure growth by executing communication plans and strategies across channels
3. To communicate effectively in ways that represent the United Nations policies
4. Ensure that content stay consistent and are accurately represented in a manner that
reflects the organisation’s values and objectives.
5. Correspond effectively with partners and agencies
6. Supervise and sensor media work before publication
7. Work with all public relations activities
8. Research on new communication issues on women and children affairs
9. Publicize the commissions works and activities to the media (Radio, TV, and Print)
SKILLS
- Must have exceptional written and verbal skills
- Must be able able to work with little or no supervision
- Must have strong leadership qualities
- Must have excellent project management skill, an ability to face stressful and uncertain situations with calmness and composure

EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 3 years working experience in communications or related fields
QUALIFICATION
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications studies, Public Relations or related fields.A Masters degree in Communications will be added advantage but not a requirement.

POSITION 3: ACCOUNTS AND FUNDS OFFICER
A suitable candidate for this position must be able to;
1. Work with basic accounting tools and software
2. Write proposals for funding
3. Maintain and mange funds using proper accounting tools
4. Present quarterly financial statements to stakeholders
5. Monitor membership dues and financial activities
6. Maintain an office financial ledger and petty cash
SKILLS
1. Knowledgeable in accounting tools
2. Ability to interpret accounting terms
3. Be organized and meticulous

EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 3 years working experience in the field of accounting or related fields
QUALIFICATION
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Accounting and finance
Having an ACCA part 1 or advance will be an advantage
