Vote for Mahama to save Ghana’s future – Naana Jane to Ghanaians

The Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama on December 7.

She says a vote for John Mahama is a vote to rescue the country from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to create a prosperous future for Ghanaians.

She said this when the NDC took its town hall meeting to the Central Regional capital, Cape Coast, to explain the party’s manifesto to the people.

Prof. Opoku Agyemang added that the 2020 election “is about fighting for the soul.”

“We should never forget that the country belongs to those who have passed on, those who are here, and those who are yet to come and that is why this election is so important, it is no longer just about politics. It is about fighting for the soul of this country, and we cannot give up. We cannot afford to betray the toil of all our ancestors and the dream of our future generations. Let us make this very clear that we the people, regardless of where we come from, and again including generations unborn, we are the real owners of Ghana and the beneficiaries of all its resources,” she said.

“We cannot afford to fail, when we show up on December 7, we are not only voting to replace a government in whom people have been very disappointed, we are voting to save the country, the future of our children and our children’s children. I urge all of you to show up at your polling station, stand in the queue to make sure you cast your vote and watch what happens,” she added.

Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, 2020.

The presidential election is being keenly contested by 12 aspirants with the NDC’s John Mahama and NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo being the two leading candidates.
