National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, has made a staggering revelation of more discrepancies discovered in the Asunafo South Constituency of the Ahafo Region by hos party.

He disclosed that 32 voters have been illegally transferred from Asunafo South to Nsoatre, despite claims from the Electoral Commission (EC) that all errors had been rectified.

During an appearance on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Wednesday, Gyamfi emphasized that the EC’s assurances of correction are undermined by ongoing findings of unauthorized transfers.

He stated, “And the EC has admitted, and they say we have corrected, but we are finding more, look, in Asunafo South where Eric Opoku is the MP. You can call him. 32 people transferred illegally in absentia to Nsoatre.” highlighting the troubling nature of these secret transfers occurring outside the designated voter transfer period.

Lawyer Gyamfi criticized the EC’s use of liveliness test technology, intended to ensure physical presence during voter transfers, which he claims failed to prevent these illegal actions.

He called for a comprehensive audit of the IT system used by the EC to restore confidence in its transparency and integrity.
Furthermore, Gyamfi advocated for a forensic audit to trace all activities within the IT system since 2023, arguing that such an investigation would reveal who accessed the system and what changes were made.

His statements raise serious concerns about the electoral process and the credibility of the EC amidst allegations of misconduct.
