VR: Sovie readies for Grand 2022 Easter Celebrations

Natives of Sovie, a traditional area in the Kpando Municipality of the Volta Region are set for their annual Easter celebrations aimed at raising funds for developmental projects in the area.
Even though the residents have made moves to solve some of their needs, the area is still visibly under developed. From education through to health infrastructure among others, the people say more needs to be done.
Emmanuel Gletsu, who chaired the launch of the Sovie Easter celebration 2022 said the government alone must not be left to solve issues of development.
According to him, there is a need for citizens to rally support through activities aimed at developing various areas and uniting the people.
“The Sovie 2022 Easter activities is under the auspices of the Sovie Youth Peace Ambassadors. It would be used to raise funds to see to the needs of a Clinic at Sovie Konda and also, the completion of a school structure at Sovie Avewu,” he stated.
Organiser of the Sovie Youth Peace Ambassadors group, Andy Attimah, told the media that, it is important the needs of the people are met through some of these activities.
He has therefore asked natives of Sovie, both home and abroad, to come home in their numbers so the intentions of the celebration would achieved.
