The residents of Wassa Ajumako-Boikrom and nearby areas are gripped by fear as they resort to swimming across River Ankobra to reach Heman-Mpatase and other neighbouring communities due to the absence of a bridge.

Despite repeated promises from successive Members of Parliament in Wassa Amenfi East, no proper footbridge has been constructed, leaving the makeshift wooden slabs perilously unsafe for crossing the river.

In a related effort to enhance community safety and infrastructure, Hon. Nicholas Amankwah has donated 20 LED street lights to Wassa Mampong, part of his broader initiative to illuminate dark areas within the municipality and deter criminal activities.
