Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to take action regarding the tenure of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.

Speaking during a church service, Apostle Owusu-Bempah questioned when President Mahama intends to replace the IGP, suggesting that Dr. Dampare’s continued stay in office could pose a challenge to the administration.

The outspoken preacher commended President Mahama’s performance just over a month into his tenure, emphasizing that his admiration for the President goes beyond politics.

“When are they going to remove the IGP and bring another person? President John Dramani Mahama is doing well. You know what? I like him not because of politics but because of his good-heartedness. When God spoke to me, He said it was because of his good heart,” Owusu-Bempah stated.

He further revealed that his past criticism of President Mahama was influenced by misinformation spread by certain individuals, particularly the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.

According to Apostle Owusu-Bempah, he was misled into disliking Mahama due to false narratives propagated by Wontumi and his associates.

“It pains me that we didn’t realize this earlier. We wasted time fighting a useless battle. We insulted a good man, and it hurts me deeply. Pastor Amo, why didn’t you tell me earlier and let Chairman Wontumi and others deceive me?” he lamented.

The cleric described Chairman Wontumi as a liar, admitting that he only discovered the truth after experiencing Wontumi’s deceit firsthand.

“Chairman Wontumi is a liar. The things he told me about President Mahama made me hate him, but they were all lies. I only realized this when he lied about me too,” he said.

Apostle Owusu-Bempah’s remarks have sparked discussions about the influence of political narratives and the role of key figures in shaping public perception.
